BIM Technician
We are looking for an experienced BIM Technician, to join our London team, in King’s Cross.
Eligible candidates should:
- Have experience in a similar role, in a creative design-led environment.
- Have experience working with complex geometry, including Façade and Roof.
- Have extensive knowledge of Revit and Rhino interoperability.
- Have experience in visual scripting environments such as Grasshopper (Dynamo would be an advantage)
Job Purpose
- Lead the production and development of Drawing Set in accordance to deliverables list
- Support the technical delivery of BIM within the team.
- Support the development and maintenance of BIM procedures and standards.
- Improve and streamline BIM delivery.
- Provide guidance, technical support and training for the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily management of BIM project data sets/workflows and project set up in accordance to project BEP, Studio Standards and project deliverables.
- Technical support of project BIM data sets, including management of collaborative aspects of the BIM process, supervision and validation of architects and designers BIM modelling and documentation output.
- Produce and lead the development of the drawing set, coordinating with Package Leads and BIM Manager.
- Provide one-to-one mentoring on 'Best Practice' workflows to project teams as required.
- Deliver project team mentoring in BIM Software enabling applications.
- Prepare and deliver project specific training documentation including inductions.
- Liaise with Project Enabling and Project Leadership to ensure changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
- Manage and maintain project content and source additional content for project teams.
- Support the technical delivery of projects in the role of BIM technician.
- Provide technical support for BIM enabling software applications to the project team.
- Contribute as required to the Design Panel Reviews and technical surgeries.
This is a 3 month fixed-term contract.
